I say that if a music band is good enough they should produce their music for free and say that if you want more then pay us a fee and we will give it to you.
Otherwise all we are doing is stealing from corporations like Sony/Mushroom and others that pay a very small royalty to the music band.
This is wrong on their behalf but two wrongs don't make a right or the less of two evils is better, no the lesser of two evils is still evil.
So really what I am trying to say is that there has to be a change within the music industry to respect artists (and pay them properly) before a change in the way people act and download music from the net.
BUT, if there really were such insignificant profit to the band, then why would they still be performing? Why would they continue to allow themseleves to be ripped off? Answer: Because they aren't being ripped off.
They get money, which they think is fair and they are happy. If the aren't, they can always either A: Produce records themselves, or B: Get someone else to produce their records for a higher royalty.
Anyway, when you can sell a lot of records, even a small royalty is equal to millions of dollars.
So, my question is, why change something that doesn't to be fixed? Illegal downloads get no-one money, where as a legal download sees all parties paid.
I don't see that there needs to be a change, except perhaps, in the distribution of illegal copies of music. If that were decreased, these parties would stand to make an even higher profit.
Why change the company when idiots decide to download music for free? Remove the idiots, and the problem is fixed.

time to update, what else have u been doing lately, you went to a movie night didnt you?
For some reason because people can steal (download) music off the internet quite easily they think they have a right to do so.
I think legal downloads are a good thing
